The Next Generation Light Anti-tank Weapon (NLAW) is the first ever single soldier missile system that quickly destroys any Main Battle Tank with just one shot by striking it from above. A role previously allocated to specific anti-tank units can today be achieved by the standard infantry soldier equipped with NLAW.

The NLAW system comprises a high performance and easy to use combat weapon and an innovative and cost effective training system. The NLAW combat weapon comprises an anti-tank missile sealed within a disposable launch tube. The main targets are MBTs and Light Armoured Fighting Vehicles. Other targets such as troops in buildings and non-armoured vehicles can also be effectively defeated.

NLAW is easy to handle, has a robust design and can be widely dispersed throughout the military organisation.

NLAW is in production since 2008 and in service with the Swedish, British and Finnish armed forces.
